Please donate to our urgent appeal
A message from our Patron, David Tennant
As a friend of Headway Essex, we hope you are well. We also feel we need to let you know about the wider impact the coronavirus is going to have on Headway Essex as a charity.
Sadly, but understandably, we’ve had to postpone or cancel most of our flagship fundraising events.
We’ve had to close our day service hubs and we are adapting to new ways of working so that we can still support our clients during this crisis. Right now, our staff and services are needed more than ever to support people living with acquired brain injury.
We urgently need your help
We are not a charity that regularly reaches out to its community to ask for funds, but in these uncertain times we know many of our supporters would rather us ask than see our services suffer.
The reality of the situation is that we might not be able to continue to provide some of our services without your help…
How you can help
We understand it’s a tough time for everyone. There are no expectations for donating. But rest assured, every penny you feel you are able to donate will make a difference to the future of our services.
- Sharing our appeal messages on social media
- Asking your friends and family if they would be happy to donate
- Adding a donate button to a Facebook post, with a personal message as to why Headway Essex’s survival means so much to you
We appreciate anything you are able to do to help us raise the funds.
Fundraising from Home
If you cannot spare a donation at this moment, perhaps you would like to do one of our many quirky fundraising challenges, or even host a virtual event of your own in order to raise those vital funds. If so, head over to our fundraising from home blog for some inspiration.
Thank you from the bottom of our heart
Don’t forget, whilst our service has taken on a different shape for now, do reach out to us. We’ll do whatever we can to help.
