We are delighted to say that this year, Tiptree Tea Rooms have chosen Headway Essex as the charity that will receive the proceeds from the sale of cream teas sold at their tea rooms on Friday 29 June. It’s all in celebration of National Cream Tea Day.
The aim of the annual celebratory day, run by The Cream Tea Society, is to encourage charity fundraisers, their family and friends to come together to enjoy a very special British tradition; the cream tea! At the same time, crucial funds are raised for charity.
The Cream Tea Society is a community that shares in the love and enjoyment of cream tea. Founded by Wilkin & Sons Ltd Tiptree and Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream, each year the Society pledges up to 50,000 portions of jam and clotted cream to charity cream tea events.
For the lovely people of Essex and Suffolk, there are 10 beautiful Tiptree Tea Rooms you could choose to visit on Friday 29th June and raise some much needed funds for us.
We couldn’t think of a more delicious and relaxing way to fundraise for Headway Essex!
We are, of course, extremely grateful to Tiptree Tea Rooms for thinking of Headway Essex. The funds raised will help us to continue to be there so that everyone in Essex living with acquired brain injury can live a fulfilling life.
Why not make 29th June the sweetest and most delicious day in your calendar! And don’t forget to join in the conversation on social media using #NationalCreamTeaDay
