Mayor’s events to hit the right note!

 

In keeping with Autumn and Winter, Mayor Gerard Oxford, has an exciting line-up of charitable events that are expected to hit just the right note for those who relish in the beauty of the changing seasons. As one of the charities to benefit from proceeds raised, we’re delighted to be involved!

 

Saturday 18 November – ‘Songs to warm a cold night’

 

Talented local choirs, musicians, and singers will be performing a range of beautiful songs at St.Botolph’s Church on Saturday 18 November at 7pm.

 

The line-up includes Kingsland Gospel Choir, Quizzical, Rococco, Will Quince, Hope in Harmony Choir, Chorus Iceni and Funky Voices.

 

Tickets: £12 from Eventbrite, or you can purchase a ticket at Mann’s Music, or on the door.

11, 23 and 24 December – Christmas Carol performance with Dr Anthony Roberts

 

Join members of the local community and the Mayor himself in celebrating festivities with a Christmas Carol performance with Arts Centre Director Anthony Roberts. Hear this wonderful timeless redenition of Dickens classic, in beautiful surroundings with musical accompaniment by Jamie Cunliffe.

 

11 December - at Mayoral Suite. Tickets £6 (including mince pies mulled wine). Available to purchase through Eventbrite.

 

23/24 December - at Colchester Arts Centre. Tickets £6 available to purchase via the Colchester Arts Centre website.

Sunday 10 December – Winter curry evening

 

Councillor Helen Chauh, is arranging a sumptuous three-course curry evening at the Oaktree Centre.  Perfectly full of flavour and really warming for a winter Sunday, it’s a real treat.

 

10 December – at the Oaktree Centre at 7pm. Tickets cost £20 per person for a three-course meal. Purchase your tickets through Eventbrite.

The Showman's Ball - Friday 9 March 2018

Inspired by PT Barnum and the forthcoming film 'The Greatest Showman'.

 

Set at the beautiful Stoke-by-Nayland  Hotel, Spa and Golf resort it will be a night to remember.

 

Auction ~ Raffle ~ Live music ~ Entertainment

 

Tickets include; Canapes and sparking reception, three course dinner and coffee.  

 

Standard £70    per person or £650    for a table of 10



Headway Essex joins the Essex Lottery

Headway Essex is delighted to say that we have joined the Essex Lottery, which is expected to be one of the largest Council-run lotteries in the country! For every £1 ticket you purchase, 50p will go directly to your chosen cause, which if you choose Headway Essex, will be us! And, you’ll be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000.  

Not only will we receive half the proceeds, an additional 10p will be donated to a central Essex Lottery fund, which will see small grants given to a wide range of good causes in Essex.
