Carers Seminars

 

To help carers with their demanding role and to understand brain injury, Headway Essex organise Carers’ Seminars.

 

Topics covered include:

  • The structure of the brain
  • The lobes of the brain and their functions
  • Types of brain injury
  • What is affected in a brain injury
  • Cognitive, physical, psychosocial and executive problems
  • Awareness and insight
  • Attention and concentration
  • Memory – how is it affected?
  • The changes after brain injury which can affect family functioning
