Members of the Board of Trustees are elected from the membership of the company and are subject to re-election following a term of office not exceeding three years.
The Company is managed and controlled by the Board of Trustees. For the purposes of the Companies Act 1985 the Members of the Board are placed in the same position as a Board of Directors.
The Board has a strategic role and meets every other month. It has responsibility for determining the direction of the Charity within the framework set out in the Memorandum and Articles of Association. This includes: ensuring financial viability and achievement of its aims; planning for the future; monitoring activities and outcomes against objectives; risk management; and ensuring legal requirements are met.
