Fundraising Manager – Colchester, Essex

 

We are looking for an ambitious and target driven Fundraising Manager who will have responsibility for meeting donation targets through community, corporate and fundraising activities.

 

They will have the ability to identify and implement fundraising opportunities, which will enable Headway Essex to achieve its aims and objectives of providing services for people living with Acquired Brain Injury and raising awareness of the effects of brain injury across Essex.

 

The successful applicant will devise and implement a fundraising strategy of income generating activities, aiming to meet or surpass income targets.

 

They will have substantial fundraising experience, a talent for building relationships, recruiting and managing a team of volunteers and a proven track record in raising funds from individuals, events in the community and through corporate and major donors.

We are looking for an autonomous worker who has the vision and passion to make opportunities happen and raised vital funds to ensure Headways continued success.   Previous experience of working with non-profits, donors and volunteers is advantageous.

Permanent position – Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Salary From £25 - £28k depending on experience

Pension Scheme

Time off in lieu for extra hours worked

Fundraising Administrator – Colchester, Essex

 

We are looking for an efficient and conscientious Fundraising Administrator to support our friendly and dynamic fundraising team to maintain and improve services for people with acquired brain injury and their carers.

 

Reporting direct to the Fundraising Manager they will be the central point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.

 

They will provide professional donor relations with a view to maintaining and building excellent supporter relationships both internally and externally.

 

They will be proactive and highly organised to ensure all fundraising activities are completed and supported in a timely manner.

 

They will be part of a team which will maximise income generation to help Headway Essex achieve its aims and objectives of providing services to people living with Acquired Brain Injury and raise awareness of the effects of this across Essex.

Part Time - Community Support Worker (Essex)

Headway Essex is looking for an experienced Key/Support worker to provide support and advice for people living with the effects of acquired brain injury and their carers.  This role will be based in West Essex and a local knowledge of this area is important.

 

They will have the ability to create effective professional relationships with local hospitals, GPs and other relevant service providers to raise awareness of the work of Headway Essex and the services it provides.

 

The successful applicant will be travelling around the West Essex area (e.g. Epping, Harlow, Uttlesford).  They will be key working 1-2-1 with adults with acquired brain injury and their carers, assessing their needs and setting goals to help them live a full and rewarding life.

 

They will have experience of developing and facilitating groups, which are a vital part of providing peer support, brain injury education and respite for our client group.

Marketing and Communications Manager – Part time - Colchester, Essex

We are looking for a creative and innovative Marketing and Communications Manager who will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing a cost-effective, innovative range of marketing activities to promote the organisation, its services and activities.

They will have the ability to identify marketing opportunities, which will enable Headway Essex to achieve its aims and objectives of providing services to people living with Acquired Brain Injury and raising awareness of the effects of this across Essex.

The successful applicant will devise and implement a marketing and communication strategy to raise awareness of the Headway Essex service provision, fundraising activity and brand.

They will have substantial experience of developing and managing a website, online forums, social media sites, copy-writing marketing literature and handling the press and radio communications.

 

Main responsibilities:

·         Manage the delivery of high quality communications activity - including media and public relations, brand marketing, digital and social media, publishing and production of marketing materials.

·         Act as a ‘brand guardian’ ensuring consistency across internal and external communications through appropriate and consistent use of language and terminology, and in the application of the visual identity.

·         Copy-writing and production of marketing materials, e-bulletins and key publications internally and externally to promote the service, events and other key information relating to Headway Essex.

·         Contribute to the achievement of income and expenditure budgets for fundraising events and donations

·         Report on and analyse all aspects of communications, including digital activity, to inform future plans and ensure the most cost efficient and effective methods are used.

·         Develop and maintain the Headway Essex website, ensuring the information is current and accurate and easy to find. Maximise search engine optimisation to increase awareness and activity.

 

Key Skills:

·         Proven demonstrable experience of managing marketing activity within a charity or comparable organisation.

·         Able to think creatively and find effective creative solutions to complex problems

·         Experience of managing communications and PR activity with external news and media organisations

·         Experience of using data to successfully inform marketing strategy

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Ability to motivate and influence people

·         Strong networking and presentation skills and proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people

·         Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

·         Flexibility and willingness to travel where needed to support events

·         Proficient IT skills including Microsoft office, InDesign and database management

We are looking for an autonomous worker who has the vision and passion to promote Headway’s services and activities at every opportunity.   Previous experience of working in a similar role is advantageous.

·         Hold a valid UK driving licence and be a car owner

·         Have a flexible approach to duties and working patterns to accommodate, evening and weekend work.
